13th Annual Illuminated Garden - Ballard Park, Newport
The 13th Annual Illuminated Garden will be held on Thursday, February 22nd Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Ballard Park. The free event features thousands of lights displayed on the trees and unique features of Ballard Park’s three acre quarry meadow.

Event goers are advised to wear appropriate shoes or boots as the trail may be dark, muddy and uneven in places. Ballard Park is located at the intersection of Hazard & Wickham Roads in Newport, RI. The event may be accessed at 21 Hazard Road. Park in the Rogers High School parking lot and walk down Hazard Road. Bring a flashlight.

The event is sponsored by Bartlett Tree Experts, The City of Newport, Kiki Finn, National Grid, the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and the RI State Senate.

Co-sponsors include A-1 Roofing and Construction, Discover Newport, McGrath Clambakes, Inc., Newport Insurance Agency, The Fitzpatrick Team, TJ Brown Landscape and Whitehouse for Senate.

WWII and Nautical Gaming Day at Battleship Cove
Saturday February 24, 2018     10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
On Saturday, February 24, get your game on at Battleship Cove! Here is your chance to play World War II and nautical games on the actual war ships that inspired them. Learn, play and watch several games, including World of Warships, Battleship, Call of Duty: WWII, and a selection of modern and historical board games.
Activities include:
Battleship tournament
Massachusetts National Guard mobile gaming lab
Naval War College Museum wargaming display
Demonstrations by expert gamers
PC and video game stations and drop-in board games
Visit all the gaming stations to earn a prize! Activities are included with price of admission.
