  • Warren Town Holiday Festival

    • It’s the Warren Town Holiday Festival which kicks off Friday, November 25th from 5-8pm and follows up with additional activities on Saturday, November 26th from Noon-3pm!
    • The schedule is up! there will be choral performances, the Toe Jam Puppet Band will be performing, Circus Dynamics will have 2 Fire Show presentations, and of course - the Man of the Season: Santa Claus will be in attendance so you can get your photos with Santa and share your list with him, although, I’m pretty sure he’s already well aware of what your little ones are wanting this Christmas!
    • The highlight, as it is every year is the Friday Night Parade led by the Mt. Hope High School Marching Band.  It’s a candle light procession up Baker St., taking a right on Main Street ending at the Town Hall where they’ll count down and throw the switch, lighting up all the colorful lights in the trees that line Downtown Main Street and the poles on the north end of Water St!
    • This is a great event for your family, your friends, your grandparents - whoever!  Grab some hot coco, and throw on your hat & mittens for the Warren Holiday Festival!

  • Celebrate Christmas - A Holiday event

    • InDowncity ushers in the holiday season with its annual Small Business Saturday event, the Celebrate Downcity (#Celebratedowncity) block party on November 26th. Join us for cheerful post Thanksgiving festivities.
    • Spend the afternoon steeped in local holiday spirit with live music, delicious foods, Santa and more while getting a head start on your Holiday shopping and by supporting your favorite locally owned shops and restaurants!
    • Along with your favorite Downtown businesses, we’ve teamed up with the Providence Flea to curate a Holiday Market along Westminster Street from 12pm-5pm. With unique handmade items, vintage, holiday decorations and goods, you will find a little something for everyone on your list. 
    • Speaking of lists, Santa Claus will be at Grant’s Block greeting all the children. Get a complimentary Polaroid photo to add to your collection! Santa will also be handing out Shop Small tote bags filled with a sapling spruce tree plant for your yard or indoor gardens (while supplies last).
    • Stop for some hot food from Championship Melt, Friskie Fries and Poco Loco Tacos. Enjoy seasonal treats such as kettle corn and roasted nuts and stay warm with a hot drink (for children and adults). 
    • On the Grant’s Block stage, we’ll be entertained by a full youth choir from the Trinity Academy of the Performing arts. The Generations Barbershop Quartet will perform the holiday classics with more acts to follow.

  • Holiday Fine Craft Show at the Hotel Viking Newport (presented by Artisans)

    • Artisans by the Bay presents their highly anticipated annual show, SUNDAY November 27th 2016 from 10AM-4PM at the lovely historic Hotel Viking, Newport!
    • Enjoy perusing a premiere selection of handcrafted gifts offered by 40+ talented Artisans, all from here in New England. Their wares will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Soy candles, nautical & seashell art, baskets, weaving, photography, soaps, pottery, glass, quilts, fabric art, fine jewelry, wood craft, honey products, wreaths, holiday ornaments, jams/jellies and more.

  • Lighted Boat Parade Viewing Party at Mystic

    • Get in the holiday spirit with the Downtown Historic Mystic. Whether you would like to write a letter to Santa or welcome him to Mystic when he arrives by boat, Mystic is the place to do it. The holiday activities begin on Saturday, November 26th at 2 pm, Santa Claus will arrive at the Mystic River Park on Cottrell Street in Downtown Mystic aboard a boat. Santa will greet children and listen to their holiday wishes in the park throughout the afternoon. 
    • Later that day at 6 pm the Christmas tree will be officially lit by Santa and the Annual Lighted Holiday Boat Parade will begin a few minutes later. Don’t miss this spectacular show of lighted boats. The vessels will parade down the Mystic River at 6:20 p.m. and return to the Mystic River Park, where spectators and judges will be gathered. Boats will be judged on creativity and team spirit. There will be prizes for Most Charismatic Crew, Innovative Vessel, Best Dressed Vessel, and Miss Mystic Vessel of Grandeur. The only cost to enter is a donation of a toy for the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. Spectators are encouraged to bring toy donations as well. 
    • Don’t forget your letters to Santa! Santa’s Mailbox will be out in front of Mystical Toys after Thanksgiving Day. Santa will write back if you include your address. For more information on holiday happenings visit: http://mysticchamber.org/
  • Photo’s on the field w/ Santa
    • Ever dream of walking across the same field that the four time Super Bowl Champions, the New England Patriots play on? How about capturing your family holiday photo on that same field? On Saturday, November 26 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM you can get your photo taken with Santa on the Gillette Stadium field!*
    • How do you get on the field? You may choose one of the two options below for admission to the field
      • Donate a new or gently used coat or hat/glove set to Cradles to Crayons Massachusetts
      • Donate $20 to Cradles to Crayons
      • *One admission grants field access for up to (4) people, one photo per family. Guests will drop off donations at NRG Plaza and enter the field through the Blue Gate (near the Gillette Stadium lighthouse). This event is weather permitting. Based on a first come first serve basis. Only service animals allowed. Admittance not allowed after 4:00 PM.
      • Your photo will be available online for a FREE download following the event! Guests are welcome to bring their own camera to capture this special moment!
